Search synced connections by company
Use search_connections with company set to the company name. The filter is a case-insensitive substring match against current_company and headline, so it can return rows whose headline contains the same text. The response returns items, total, has_more, and cursor. Each item can contain the person's name, headline, current company, current title, location, skills, LinkedIn profile URL, public identifier, provider ID, connection time, summary, and picture URL when those fields exist. The default page size is 20 and the maximum is 500. Follow cursor when has_more is true.
Check campaign overlap before contact
Use get_network_analytics with the same company filter when campaign context matters. The filtered result includes matching first-degree connections and an in_campaign value for each returned person, plus campaign-overlap counts for the matched set. This is decision support, not a duplicate-contact guarantee. If a campaign lookup fails, the tool adds a warning that the overlap counts may undercount. The contact list defaults to 100 rows, is capped at 500, and reports contacts_truncated when more matches exist.
Understand coverage and freshness
Both tools read locally stored connection rows. Neither performs a live LinkedIn lookup. If connections have not been synced, the result is empty. Company matching can use current_company or headline because current-company enrichment may be missing, so a match does not by itself confirm current employment. get_network_analytics returns _freshness and _completeness. When title/company enrichment is below 80%, enrichment-derived breakdowns move under partial_breakdowns with denominators. search_connections does not return a freshness envelope, so its results should be described only as synced data, not as current LinkedIn data.
